With a passion for inspiring his generation, Jamel Furlow began his creative journey while attending
college, where he assembled a group of friends to produce a compelling web series centered on
the lives of college freshmen navigating identity, relationships, academics, and the challenges of
young adulthood. Through the process of creating and storytelling, Furlow discovered his true
calling behind the camera.

Realizing his passion for filmmaking outweighed the traditional path he
was on, he made the bold and calculated decision to leave the University of Maryland Eastern
Shore and pursue a career in filmmaking full-time. That defining choice marked the beginning of his
journey as a filmmaker, director, and visual storyteller dedicated to creating authentic stories that
resonate with audiences and inspire others to pursue their purpose.
