MALIK CHAUNCEY GAY-BAÑUELOS
Malik is a Black and Chicano writer/director born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles. He
graduated from the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television and works for
the Latino Film Institute's Youth Cinema Project. Malik is drawn to stories that have cultural
specificity and larger societal implications. He’d like to give a shoutout to his family and the day
one homies for always supporting him.
