Francisco Reyes Sánchez

Francisco Reyes Sánchez has been a professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid since the 2000–2001 academic year and holds a PhD in Information Sciences.

In 2005, he created the first university course in Spain dedicated to urban culture, and in 2010 he published Rap, 25 Years of Rhymes, a landmark book that sold more than 60,000 copies worldwide. He is also the creator, director, producer, and filmmaker of Ritmo Urbano, Spain’s first television program devoted to urban culture, broadcast on La 2 of RTVE since 2011. His professional career spans television, film, advertising, photography, and the arts, including exhibition work and curatorship, notably the exhibition It All Began in Eighty-Four at the National Museum of Anthropology in Madrid.
