NIGLMORO OKUK

Niglmoro "Niki" Okuk is a lifelong South LA community organizer and activist who works at the
intersections of decolonization, Black feminist abolitionist practices, gentrification, and climate
change. As a founding member of Black Lives Matter LA, Downtown Crenshaw, West Papua
Action Network and a former green business entrepreneur, Niki has dedicated her career to
advocating for social justice and environmental equity. She is also a TEDx speaker on the
solidarity economy, sharing insights on creating equitable economic systems. Okuk is a tribal
member Awakane Kamanuku, Papua New Guinea.
