ARMIN NASSERI
Armin Nasseri is a Persian American actor and filmmaker who grew up in Winston-Salem, North
Carolina before relocating to Los Angeles.
Through award-winning short films such as Seeking Valentina and The Carting Call, Nasseri has
focused on authentic storytelling that challenges stereotypes, amplifies underrepresented voices and
embraces inclusive, multi-dimensional casts.
He made his documentary feature debut with George Hobbs: Stick Figure Wisdom, an award-winning
portrait of artist George Hobbs, and continued his exploration of contemporary artists with Alicia
Piller: Afterlife of Objects, a documentary examining Alicia Piller's large-scale sculptural work and its
themes of history, identity and social commentary.
